We want to assure you that we’re doing everything we can to minimise the disruption to our service during the coronavirus outbreak, while protecting the health and wellbeing of our staff and our stakeholders. Measures are in place to ensure that we can continue to pay pensions and administer the scheme during an event which disrupts normal working practices, such as the current situation.

Due to the number of staff working remotely, there may be a delay to our normal response time in dealing with telephone, postal and electronic enquiries, so we’d appreciate your patience at this time.

Contacting us during the outbreak

The answer to most queries in relation to your pension can be found on this website. To protect yourself and our team, please do not visit us in person at County Hall, Matlock.

Enquiry form

If you do need to contact us, we encourage you to use our online enquiry form. This is the best way to contact us to ensure that your message is received, and your enquiry is dealt with as soon as possible.

Secure emails

If you need to send us electronic attachments, email pensions@derbyshire.gov.uk.

It's your responsibility to ensure your personal data is sent to us securely.  Please check with your own email provider if you're unsure how to do this.

Your LGPS benefits

Your benefits in the LGPS are guaranteed and set out by government regulations. Although the current news headlines about the turbulence in world stock markets are unsettling, they won’t affect your pension benefits. For more information visit our page how your pension is worked out

Scammers constantly look for new ways to take advantage of people. If a company or individual contacts you and makes an attractive offer to transfer your pension pot to them, visit our page how to identify a pension scam for information on how to protect yourself.

In these challenging times we’ll be doing all we can to keep our service to you as unaffected as possible.
