We've opened a consultation for employers on draft updates to our Funding Strategy Statement (FSS).

Why an update is required

Our FSS needs to be updated to reflect changes to The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Regulations, which allows administering authorities of LGPS pension funds to:

  • review employer contributions outside of the normal triennial valuation cycle in specified circumstances
  • spread exit payments for exiting employers
  • set up Deferred Debt Agreements for exiting employers

Some other minor changes have also been included in the proposed update.

How to feedback

If you represent an employer of our fund, we welcome your views on the attached draft copy of the FSS, which highlights the proposed changes.

Your feedback is important, and will help us to ensure that our FSS continues to clearly set out how Fund employer’s pension liabilities are calculated and how they pay for their own liabilities.

We've created a Microsoft form for you to provide your feedback quickly and easily. Your response will be held securely. The consultation closes on 22 August 2021.

Complete your feedback now on the Fund's Microsoft consultation form.
